Supporting Egypt’s economic growth initiative through industrial and workforce development by focusing on the use and implementation of information communication technology (ICT) in industry and educational systems through private sector participation. The workforce development objective was to help Egypt increase its global competitiveness by leveraging ICT through the implementation of IT-in-Schools and the establishment of an IT university. The economic-growth objective included skills-gap analysis, e-readiness assessment, industrial capability and competitiveness assessment, and the implementation of an industrial cluster concept.
